Grommets have other names including snap bushings and strain relief bushings. By whatever name, a grommet is a ring inserted into a hole through material, such as plastic, wood or metal. Grommets are flared or collared on each side to keep them in place, and are made of molded 6/6 nylon. They are used to prevent tearing or abrasion of the pierced material, to cover sharp edges of the piercing, or both. A small grommet may also be called an eyelet.
Snap Bushings insulate and mechanically protect electrical and telecommunications cable, tubing, hose and wire.
Our Strain Relief Bushings have locking fingers which "Snap" into holes with finger tip pressure.
Molded out of 6/6 nylon.
