  • Grommets have other names including snap bushings and strain relief bushings. By whatever name, a grommet is a ring inserted into a hole through material, such as plastic, wood or metal. Grommets are flared or collared on each side to keep them in place, and are made of molded 6/6 nylon. They are used to prevent tearing or abrasion of the pierced material, to cover sharp edges of the piercing, or both. A small grommet may also be called an eyelet.
  • Snap Bushings insulate and mechanically protect electrical and telecommunications cable, tubing, hose and wire.
  • Our Strain Relief Bushings have locking fingers which "Snap" into holes with finger tip pressure.
  • Molded out of 6/6 nylon.
